I'm having problems with my water spray, have above ground pool and it barely sprays, i have made sure the skimmer and pump basket are clean. my pump is an Aquapro san filter and 3 yrs old. Do I need to replace the sand maybe, and where can I find instructions on this, as my manual does not show it. is there a certain type of sand that is best to use? This is my first pool and learning everyday, any help is appreciated.

Sand rarely needs to be replaced. It may need to be deep cleaned.

Post pics of your water spray that is a problem and your pool equipment.

here is pictures of the spray & pump. my question is why my spray is only barely spraying I have had pool running for at least 3 weeks and used my normal opening kit, it was fine for about a week and the spray was normal (almost3/4 spray across pool0). Now even after cleaning skimmer, pump basket and making sure there was no debris on impeller it will not spray fully. My pressure gauge is working, reading my normal 10PSI. Also the water is not getting clean and clear as it should, I use HTH products and the water is still cleaning properly. This has me wondering if I need to deep clean the sand or replace it. any help is much appreciated, TIA

If you want the spray to go farther, then you should close, or partially close the black ball valve below the sprayer, which is controlling your return. Right now, both are fully open and that is why the spray stream is low.

Deep cleaning should be done yearly. If the sand is still sand like, even if its filthy, it'll clean good as new. If it's rubbery or otherwise gummed up, then it's time for replacement.
