I’m converting my pool to SWG. Did a test yesterday afternoon and another one today at Leslie’s for a salt Level. Also did a test at home with my K-1766. Leslie’s tested Salt level 2156 while I tested 2600. Who to believe while bringing level to 3500?

Also yesterday Leslie’s tested Phosphates 367ppb and today 87ppb??? I didn’t use any phosphates remover, just added 7 bags of salt.

You shouldn't be. The testing is not accurate. They show very high resolution. But it is meaningless. As we have said many, many times, do your own testing. If you want to test for phosphates, get a test kit for it. Taylor K1106.

As this is your first time testing for salt, it's important to note a distinction from other drop tests.

With the salt test, the first change (that holds) from yellow to a milky salmon (brick red) is the endpoint. Do not continue to add drops until there is no further color change.

With a CYA of 60, your target FC should be about 7 ppm, not 2..

The idea is to keep your FC at or above the FC target.. It is not to try and stay between the minimum and your target.

I had CYA 45 2 days ago and raised it to 60 for SWG. Have to add chlorine tonight.
Was planning to install system tomorrow but just found out that my friend can’t come and will have to push it to the next week :/ Looks like I will have to maintain chlorine manually by then.

@Rancho Cost-a-Lotta thanks for the tip. When testing for salt for me color changes with one drop dramatically. It’s milky and then suddenly changes to salmon/brick red.
 
I assume you have been adding salt to the water recently in prep for your SWG.
Salt does take time to dissolve into the water before it registers in a salt test.

Was the sample for your home test and the PS test taken at the same time?
Or could the home test had more undissolved salt that the PS test because it was done a day earlier?

My SWG has a display for %salt, and a warning light for Salt 'Too High' or 'Too Low'
I use the % readout as my SWG as my salt reading.
And I haven't tested it in years.
Occasionally I'll go into the PS for some liquid Chlorine or Stabilizer and I'll get a test done.
The salt levels are typically within a couple %points of my SWG display.
