Need advice on building a wall for a sheer decent

We just had a 34 foot steel wall pool put in. We are building a feature wall that is 20 feet long. We are using cinder blocks. 2 high. We put a 6 inch deep by 20 ft long footing under the lip of the steel wall. The cinder blocks will sit pretty much right up to the edge of the pool. Leaving about a half inch for the stone face. After putting one row of cinder blocks on I’m worried we are compromising the wall. Are we doing this right?

Are you putting the blocks on the concrete footing or is it laying on the steel wall lip?

It’s on the lip. But the blocks are bigger so it’s also sitting on the concrete footing. This picture is when we were pouring the concrete footing.3717F978-1991-441A-8724-4C144BA65395.jpeg8FC6D1DF-7701-4A90-A0C2-D557A1A52A24.jpegthis picture is the cinder blocks sitting partly on the concrete footing.

one mistake i made. tell them to fill the cinderblocks with concrete at least the bottom 6-8 inches because when they come to drill holes for winter cover the anchors will not sit properly. i had to epoxy few anchors and it was a pain. if had it been filled with cement i would have had no issues. my pool builder told me but i forgot to mention to mason.

This wall looks likes the blocks are sitting close to but not on the steel lip...

Your blocks look like they are too far forward and sitting on the wall lip.

you cant tell in pictures but it was set exact same way. the stone veneer actually stick out and not flush with wall.
