Woods 59101r timer problem

I have a 2 year old timer that started acting up in the last 2 weeks. Most of the time now it will not turn on when the timer hits the on pins but it always turns off when it hits the off pins. When I open the box and slightly tap to the on position it will kick on but often turns off at some point during the on cycle. It seems it is not completely clicking to the on position, like 90% there but not quite enough. Is it already shot after just 2 years or is there something I can do to fix. Thanks for any help.

The enclosure looks very much like the one used by Intermatic. The frame of the mechanism looks to be the same as an Intermatic. Intermatic is considered "bullet proof" and the standard in the pool industry for mechanical timers. That's one reason there are so many of them in use and why other manufacturers make products to fit their enclosures. I have a friend that has 25+ year-old mechanisms that still work.
If I was to work on your equipment I would replace the Woods with the appropriate Intermatic mechanism and be done.
A T101m for 120V.
A T104M for 240V.
They cost a bit more than the Woods mechanisms, but over their life it doesn't amount to much.
