Question about PH color.

Attached is a photo of my pH reading. My question is whether I should be looking at the darkness of color or the “pinkness.” I would call this as 7.4 and 7.6. But that’s because my sample is not as yellow as the lower readings. Am I doing this right?

The Hue is what you are looking for -- so yellowish is low and purplish is high. The Intensity is not a factor. Use one less or more drop of reagent to change the Intensity.

Also, the background can make a big difference. Use a white background.

Take one finger from each hand and block off the value above and below the one you want to compare. I find it's much easier to pick yes or no, instead of best of 3.
