Ugh. I’m so sick of the downpour. On one side at least it’s a chance to use free water to get calcium slightly lower. However, now I have a minor leak in a skylight and it’s so frustrating!! Ugh!!!
It has rained at least 6-7 inches.

I thought it was never going to rain again in California ???

Two months, will be complaining about a drought.

It’s been cold and rainy in Tucson but, aside from the native drivers that can’t figure out how to drive when there’s a flurry of a few snowflakes, we love the rain. The mountains are beautifully snow capped and the air is always easier to breath after a day of drizzles and rain.

Sucks about the skylight, I can totally sympathize and I hope any damage was minimal. I’ve had to do emergency roof patches when it rains here because all the homes built in the southwest are trash … can’t stand up to a sprinkle let alone a real Nor’easter from back East or a good Midwest lightening and hail storm.

Enjoy the free water …

Woke up yesterday to about an inch and a half of snow here (1100 feet up in the Santa Cruz Mountains). People lost their minds. The freeway was closed all day and CHP was escorting locals over the "summit" (2000 feet), everyone in the area was warned to venture out only in case of dire emergency, a kind neighbor got all bundled up in a parka and boots and came by to ask whether we needed any supplies.

In Denver, where I grew up, we would've said the storm missed us.

Yeah, but in Denver if people were surfing a quarter mile from downtown, in February, that would be even bigger news than snow in Santa Cruz. And we did have a bit of snow on the beach here.

Ugh! Whelp it seems so far that the leak is not exactly from the skylight itself but a section of the roof next to it which bubbled up during the unprecedented (for us) amount of rain. So I’m majorly annoyed because we just got the skylight 2 years ago because we were told that the leak was because the other skylight was old. So now it’s because the roofing needs repair in that section. We are hoping that the company that did the skylight will do what’s right and fix the actual issue in that spot or I’ll need to search around for roofing people that aren’t going to rip me off and make it a whole scene.
