Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

I can't find any at local Walmarts. I just paid $6.98 per gallon at Lowes.
There are several HASA distributors in the Austin area- may wanna give them a call to be sure they sell to the public

Bad news for those in the Spring, TX region. We used to have Napco as a cost effective bulk bleach supplier. Recently they were bought out by Hawkins; a national chemical company. They continued drive up bleach supply for a couple of months but now have shut it down entirely. So now we are left with going to Home Depot for much more expensive and lesser concentration bleach. RIP Napco.

That is very unfortunate.
Also try Pinch a Penny, they use 2.5 gallons jugs that you can exchange each time. Last time I purchased it, price was $10 for 2.5 gallons.

For those in the Memorial Villages / West Memorial area of Houston - it looks like we're getting a new Pinch-a-Penny at 12534 Memorial Drive, opening early next year. Hopefully they'll still be offering inexpensive liquid chlorine once they arrive on the scene.

At first, when I saw that HASA dealer/distributor locator URL, I jumped on it, as I'm always comparing prices.

The good news is that the map showed blue dots for HASA dealer/distributor locations that I did NOT know existed in any given area.
But alas, no matter how hard I tried, I could NOT get that distributor locator map to show a blue pindrop for HASA retailers that I KNOW to exist.

Mostly it missed the Leslie's Pool Stores which sell the yellow and orange cases of bleach & acid.
At least those are the ones I know it missed.

The problem is why.
Why doesn't HASA know about their own distributors, such as a Leslies Pool Store?

I've been an authorized dealer of several brands and many offer different levels of resale. You pay more upfront each year for the dealership license and they sell it to you alot cheaper. They also help promote you as a preferred dealer.

Or, Leslie's is considered the competition and in some areas they have mutual agreements where they need each other.

Are any Leslie's listed at all ?

Oh no! That's sad to hear. I've been to that store many, many times and all my friends that needed chlorine went there. Yet another reason to switch to swg!

I just got from Walmart in DFW area. It was only 14 days old but but had increased to ~$5.50/gallon. I thought that was ridiculous as the last time I got from there I thought it was $3.68 or so, but now that i've come here, looks like that's actually not bad.

I called Napco today to see if they were open for MLK day and learned they stopped the drive up bleach. They referred me to Texas Pressure Washing Store in Porter (near Kingwood) for drive up bleach. Their phone is 281-747-6070 and address is: 20653 Old Sorters Rd Porter TX 77365

I called them up and they sell 12.5% bleach for $3.15/gallon (fill your containers). The nice thing compared to Napco is they said you can get bleach anytime they are open 8-5, M-F vs the limited days and hours at Napco.

OMG!
Can you clarify the name of the outfit that sells (in your area) the 12.5% LC for that low of an amount?
I need to do some furious googling for that outfit in California!

It’s a local pressure washing outfit called Texas Pressure Washing store. You might look up pressure washing companies and call up a couple and ask them where they get their bleach. Every time I would pick up liquid bleach there were always a few pressure washing companies filling up large tanks of bleach.

Great news, everyone! Home Depot lowered their prices to $35.98 per 4-gallon box of 10%. Still outrageous, but 10% cheaper than a few weeks ago. First decrease I've ever seen in my pool-owning lifetime.
