Speed Queen - The Way of Water

I can’t imagine civilized life without a bidet but that’s a conversation for a different thread … maybe my next post will be on the installation of a new bidet 🕺💦

Think with Joyful's trailing commission from Speed Queen, we'll see more than just a bidet arrive.

I'm thinking multiple smoking jackets, massage chairs, and feet warmers. Possibly even a dehumidifier.
Now that you mention it, it does seem like J.N slips quit a few product recommendations into his posts.

I can only imaging the swag that he has accumulated over the years.

The new dishwasher arrives Tuesday (that’s right, every appliance in my house is crapping out at once …) but I will keep the review in this thread since it goes with the water theme …

Note: When you’re doing product placement in your posts, you have to be subtle and discreet.

You can’t make it obvious.

For example, in my previous post, you probably didn’t even notice the endorsement.

Go back and read it again to see if you can spot the product placement.

We bought our last house from a grandma who had already moved out. The almost as old as me appliances went from no/little use to full family use and didn't make it the first month.

That’s my mom’s car dude - 2015 Chevy Trax. It has less than 30,000 miles on it and she wants to gift it to my oldest, who is driving now, when she leases a new car later this year. I’m like, “the minute he starts driving it for daily use and to haul all his friends around, the engine is going to explode!

It seems like you are leaning towards turning down the offer?

Cars and teenagers are expensive to insure. The fact that he is a licensed driver in our household raised my policy rate by $1003 per year. If we take on the car, that could easily raise the policy by another $800 per year for barebones/minimal coverage. So we are discussing ways that he can share in those expenses … ie, GET A JOB! I’m not going to take the car until he gets a source of income to pay for its expense.

Mine gets her license 🪪 on Friday- I am definitely not looking forward to the bill 💸
They couldn’t quote me anything in advance to help me get used to the idea when I informed them of her permit (the premiums didn’t increase at all due to the permit).
She will be the primary driver on a 1996 Toyota pickup 🛻 unless it’s more advantageous to pick one of our other vehicles. It currently has full coverage because it was only $70/yr more - we’ll see how that changes 😬
She works with me when possible & operates a lemonade stand with her brother, weather permitting, but no steady income source as her life is consumed with sports pretty much year round. She’s inquired about employment at a few places but they all just say “come back when you’re 16”.
I started working for a paycheck at 14 but it’s not that common anymore. It doesn’t help that we live in the boonies, not a ton of opportunities.
