Help identifying cause for cracking in new plaster

Plaster was done on about 20 days ago. Our pb states that cracks are normal and should get better overtime. I doubt that will ever happen. We got quartzscapes and they are asking us to sign the warranty paperwork that states that it does not cover cracks.

I dont want to sign it. What is everyone's expierence with this kind of situation. I seems the pb is sending my to the plaster mfg but the paperwork from quarscapes (if signed) does not cover cracks.

I’m not a plaster expert but I think think this problem might be categorized as crazing.

Did other pools you toured with the PB have these cracks? (I’m assuming not). If the PB insists these are normal than you can ask why the other pools they built were not cracked.

It's not normal and it won't get better.

You have a product warranty and a workmanship warranty.

Quartzscapes is the product and they don't have direct control over the installation.

In my opinion, the problem is with the installation and workmanship, which means that the builder is liable to fix the problem.

Even if the problem was with the product, the builder should make it right and address any product issues directly with Quartzscapes.
