Jandy Box Wiring Help

I have a bad button on my Jandy Box console; I have a home warranty and the tech diagnosed the problem. Warranty won't cover it; the tech moved the pump to Aux 4 and I can now start and stop the pump with my app; but the timer doesn't run the pump. Can the timer be moved to aux 4 so I can avoid replacing the circuit board for the time being? I'm not using all the buttons; I'm just not sure what needs to be moved. Its not clear how the timer is connected to the box.

Welcome to TFP.

Confirm it is your FILTER PUMP button that is bad and does not respond?

You should be able to create PROGRAMS for AUX4 that turn the pump on and off as you want.

What device do you use to control your Aqualink?

Some members have had good experiences with BP Engineering, Inc. repairing their Jandy boards.

Yes, the filter pump button doesn't fire the relay; however the relay and pump work when moved to Aux 4.

Replacing the board is no problem. I'm currently using the iphone app to turn the pump on and off manually. With the time it just runs itself.

FYI, that link is a parked web site.

OK. So I've just moved into a new home, so maybe I just don't get it. With the iaqualink I don't even need a mechanical clock? There's a clock next to the box, maybe the clock isn't even being used? I can program any of the buttons with "schedule" on the web site?

Whatever the mechanical clock is controlling it is not the Aqualink.

Correct.

Post some pics of your equipment pad and the mechanical clock and that area.

It doesnt look like the clock even runs into the box, which was my first issue not realizing I could programs. What is that Hempton Bays box next to it? Can I just have this stuff removed?

You need to follow the wires that go into that box and see what they connect to.

My guess is they controlled the pool before the Aqualink was installed but that is just guessing.

Looks like you have some corrosion on the relay wire that was moved, are the connectors clean?
Im not sure. The tech moved it. I think there was an event that might have damaged it. I came home from a trip and the relief valve on my filter had broken off. Not sure what happens when that's left unattended as nobody was home for 2 days afterwards

Shut power off to the panel and remove connector circled. Try to remove any white residue from the metallic connector and reinsert in back into the first socket (indicated by arrow) - also make sure those pins are clean. If it still doesn't work you'll have to move the connector back to AUX4. Take some close up photos.

The box with the open cover and timer inside looks like a low voltage lighting transformer/timer box. Any lettering on that box?
The twin lead electrical cord running from the bottom of it probably feed the low voltage to the lights.

You mean white residue on the Aux 1 panel connector? Its working on Aux 4 and its 107 degrees out, so I'll tackle this when cooler times prevail. I'll take out the corroded connector and replace it with an unused one
