Does anyone have an example of PebbleSheen SeaFoam Green? I've been warned that surrounding foliage will throw too much green. My friend joked, "if my pool was that color I'd be dumping chlorine in it!" But I'd love to see some pics if folks have any.

No real life experience with the Seafoam Green, but judging from what I see online, it actually looks similar to Turtle Bay, but lighter. It's very tropical looking.

Thank you for the insight, I'm not certain we'll stick with it and we have time to change. I mentioned it to someone else who recently put a pool in and he told me I was crazy and that it will not only mimic but also hide algae. Aesthetically I think this is one of the hardest decisions. And I've combed through as many pics as I can find on this site (including the thread on the color viewing room) and elsewhere, and it's really seems to be a rare one.

I wouldn't recommend a plaster color with a green tint. It would always look like an algae infested pool.

That color reminds me a lot of what the pool water will look like when you first fill it. It has a green tint to it. Looking online at the pics it doesn't look bad and obviously stuff like this is a personal preference but I couldn't help but notice there are only a few pics of it on the PebbleTec website compared to several pics on most other colors. Ours is PebbelSheen French Grey and similar as far as darkness but no green tinge. 33739DFC-0BF1-47D5-9E56-5DBB2AE08311_1_105_c.jpeg

Thanks, Mcow, your pool is really beautiful! We initially had the French Grey, too, as well as the Blue Granite, towards the top of our list. Our pool is going to be quite small (>10K gallons), and a sizable portion of the surface will be wet deck (so not a lot of room for the deeper water color to really dominate) so I worried these will be too grey in far away appearance. I may need to consider the paler shades or get into the blues.

See if you can arrange in-person visits to pools that have the finishes you're interested in. We narrowed our colors down to three, visited pools that had each of those colors, then made a decision based on what we liked best.

We were also considering Blue Granite. Have you considered Blue Surf? Plaster is tough and it really depends on water depth as well as sun exposure. The advice from @pjt above is good that is what we did on our first pool.
