Jandy VS FloPro Starting and Stopping

Hey there! Our pool was just opened up today and the individual doing the orientation noticed that the Jandy VS flow pro pump was starting and stopping intermittently. Not running at a consistent RPM in order to kick in the heater.

We now have the electrician coming by to take a look and ensure it was wired correctly. Until then does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Is it connected to any type of automation or controller?
Hi sorry yes it is connected to the iAquaLink system.

The guy that did the Orientation seems to think it could be electrical related somehow. Not sure what could be the issue though, as there is power running to all of the equipment. Maybe it was wired up incorrectly?

Disconnect it from the automation and see if it resolves the issue.

Be sure everything is fully powered down when changing any wiring.

Because I am a complete noob I’d rather not touch any wiring but wait for the electrician to come. Is there a way for me to do that from the control panel, disable automation and run it manually?

There should be a Service mode. I am not that familiar with Jandy, but it should be available at the control panel.

Then it is the pump. Likely a failed drive.

I assume the pool is filled and sitting. If so, add liquid chlorine daily and mix it in with a brush or get a sump pump to move the water around.

Looks like you have a Jandy FloPro VS Pump with JEP-R Controller with fault message "PROCESSOR REGS".

A thread at Jandy ePump Controller processor/software fault with similar issue.

This is correct! They literally just started this unit up today. It is running but intermittently so the water is moving between the pump and the pool. Is this something that can be resolved over the phone?

Pop the cover off and inspect for water damage. If you don't feel comfortable doing that wait for your electrician.

I don't think it can be resolved over the phone, but with the fault message they can at least provide more information.

Very helpful, thank you both! I just contacted technical support and they feel that it is a pump grounding issue that could be causing the problem. They also encourage the electrician to call their pro line to walk them through the wiring if everything does look fine. I will report back!
