Imagine Illusion 40 Complete 10/19/21

Another 3 day weekend lined up. I'll be out here backfilling today and cleaning up the yard. Then repair the landscaping that was destroyed.

You’ll have it back looking great soon & no one will ever suspect all the He\! U went through. This is how I feel about under my deck, it literally almost killed me & I am so proud of how it turned out but it’s mostly covered by the deck & no one even knows or notices it’s there!

Who cares what time........nothing quite like a nude swim before hitting the sack on a hot night.

Have to say post 1074 is why we do it. All the costs or crud times dissolve into insignificance when moments like that happen. Good on you Casey and thanks for sharing. Think anyone who has read this thread feels like part of the family. (y)

Almost to the pump! I'm done for the day. My back is sore. I have to clean my yard up because we were tossing water bottles and a I know I was tossing bleach bottles when digging it out. At least it was chlorinated. :mrgreen:20220814_180358.jpg20220814_180416.jpg20220814_180423.jpg20220814_180433.jpg20220814_180459.jpg20220814_180503.jpg20220814_180515.jpg20220814_180533.jpg20220814_180536.jpg20220814_180547.jpg

Looking good Casey! Almost there! Soon it will be a distant memory.

I'm so glad I didn't do all the landscaping and have to dig it back up like I did over by the skimmer. That would have hurt more.

You machine you!!! Put your head down do what need to be done to the max! My kind of girl!!!
So glad it's done. I'm beat. Now I can start on the landscaping and making it look better so when I open next year I can relax and maybe add just a few more plants. I did a lot this year. Kinda surprised myself with how much I got done.

Pool noodles are a must in hot tub! Just don't put the whirl pool on because you'll make yourself sick!:mrgreen:

Guys... I'm onto my next and very important DIY project that I'd like to bounce off you guys. I have a severe water drainage issue that is so bad that during the Fall, Winter and Spring time and occasionally throughout the Summer, I get water and TONS of mud in this "mud room". It was appropriately named. It's bad. I'm probably going to call off work tomorrow and Friday to get the work done other than not wanting to be at work. LOL I'd rather sweat! Anyway...

My plan is to dig out roughly 6-8" of the ground and make a slight valley towards the shed where I will dig down 3ft or so and lay a drainage tube on top of chipped stone. In my thinking, if i keep it higher at the door and slope it down towards the shed, the water wont run toward the door where i want to keep it away from. I'll run the tube under the gate of the fence and lay more chipped stone and then dirt n reseed it around the gate. I have about 250ft of black drainage tube from Stephen Stephenson @Newdude   I also have 2 10ft pieces with the fabric on it that will go into the ditch and ill add the additionaldrainagetube to that to carry the water away. (I'm good at digging ditches) :laughblue: I'll be laying these large flat stones on top of the chipped stone and filling it in with more chipped stone or even buy stone dust to set it or dump a bag of dry concrete over top of the chipped stone to set it. I'm not sure how far back I'm going but I have more big stones if I need them.

Anyone wanna look at these pics and let me know if I'm missing anything. I can add more pics on demand. I know my mud room is a mess. It's just a throughway for the dogs to get outside but you can see the horrible issues I'm dealing with. Once I get this fixed, I can start replacing the door and other things that's suffered water damage. My husband was supposed to help me but that never happened so I'm here doing the best I can. I figured you guys wouldn't mind helping me and several brain storms are better than one.20220824_111209.jpg20220824_111205.jpg20220824_111216.jpg20220824_111218.jpg20220824_111228.jpg20220824_111233.jpg20220824_111245.jpg20220824_111253.jpg

Get those 4 legged crew-members digging!! This makes me think of the John Candy line in Stripes. If we were in Germany, I would have to make yours. But we're in Italy, so you've gotta make mine. It's regulations." My version is since I'm in Jersey and you are in Pennsylvania, I can't help dig that trench, its regulations. But New Dude is in NY he can. I think you have a crew member on his way!!
