Mysterious Floaties in shallow end only

Help! In the mornings, these gray/brown things are all over the shallow end. They are at the bottom but seem to be suspended in water not touching bottom. Vacuum runs all night and pool is clear and clean except for these. It has been several days. I have been battling some things, that all seem to be fixed except this.
DE filter grid changed on Saturday.
