Hello all, I’ve been posting over in the algae forum after trying to clear up the algae problem. I’ve been following the SLAM process for about two weeks. I’ve tested FC multiple times a day, dosed according to Pool Math app, backwashed, brushed, vacuumed, and refilled multiple times over the past two weeks. Since late May when I opened the pool I haven’t gotten in once and it is HOT! Today I got desperate and went to a pool store
and I’m sitting here staring at a bottle of Hydro-Floc. I discovered earlier this week that those large trees in the background are Cottonwoods. Pair that with the large maples that surround my pool and I’m wondering if it’s no longer dead algae in my pool but cotton filaments in my water. I haven’t added any FLOC but I’m feeling a bit desperate and beaten down at this point. Open to suggestions! First pic is where I was a month or so ago and second is today.
