Hi all:

Summer heat is in full effect and its my first summer with a SWG. I am trying to figure out the programming on my Intellicenter. The system works perfectly in Pool mode, as expected, however I have a Glacier Cooler that I run to keep my pool from being a hot tub. The cooler has its own "Circuit" set up and it shows up under "Features". It also works perfect.

Normally, I run my pool for 12 hours during the day and the cooler all night at a lower pump speed. I incorrectly assumed my SWG would run with the cooler, so I dropped my SWG to account for the extra time. Unfortunately, a few days later I checked my FC and it dropped to 1.5.

After investing, I found that my IC60 shows green lights for being on and it registers flow, but the Output % lights do not light up. Obviously, my controller is not allowing it to come on for some reason.

I could get creative and create another schedule to turn the pool on at the same time, but I'm curious why its not generating.

Any ideas?

I think you need to be in POOL mode or SPA mode for the IntelliCenter to let the Intellichlor generate.

M,

The SWCG should not have any lights if you are not in the pool mode or spa mode. If the cell just has no % lights you have some other issue.

I suspect you have told your IntelliCenter that you have an IntelliChem. The IntelliChem controls the SWCG output. We don't recommend the IntelliChem and I have no idea how they work. Until you figure it out, it might be wise to turn the IntelliChem off and see what happens. You need to get your SWCG working pretty soon...

Sorry I could not be of any help,

Jim R.

I have a feeling your SWG is getting power all the time and not from the pump/filter relay. If you turn off all of your features and the pump does the SWG power down? I have my "pool" set to run for 14 hrs a day so that is when the SWG is on. I use a feature circuit to run the pool on high when I'm running the in floor cleaning. Since this is just a feature circuit my SWG does not turn on during that time.

Jim

I actually have both. The liquid CL side was a PITA so I turned it off and use only the Acid side...basically a IntellipH. Works great.
Intellicenter knows they are both there and the controls for both show up in the app.

If I am in Pool mode during the day, then the power light, flow light and % show up and the unit generates FC. Its only at night when I run the cooler that it doesnt work.

The other solution is to create a shadow schedule so that the unit runs pool mode and the chiller concurrently. I just want to take advantage of running cell at lower % since pumps are running longer.

M,

I'm sure it is just me, but I want to make sure I understand..

What does the cell do at night?? Are all the lights off, or is it just the Output% lights that are off? If all the lights are off the fix is easy.

If just the Output lights are off, I am not sure what could cause that??

Thanks,

Jim R.

It was only the output lights. Thats why I found it strange. I figured it would run if rhe pump was running but thats not the case.

Pic 1 - pool mode on with and without Cooler feature on or off. All lights on.

Pic 2 - pool mode off with cooler feature on. Main pump still runs. No output lights.

Its weird....seems like the intellicenter only allows it to generate somehow if Pool Mode is on. Guess i need to just leave Pool mode on 24hr per day and set schedule for cooler to run at night only. 🤷‍♂️

M,

As a test, temporarily disable the IntelliChem or ipH inside the IntelliCenter. Basically, make the IntelliCenter think that you only have a SWCG and see if the problem goes away. I suspect it will.

Thanks,

Jim R.

What lights are on the SWG when the pool mode is OFF and the cooler feature circuit is OFF? I still think the SWG is getting power all the time and the intellicenter is not sending the signal to generate since pool mode is off.
