Solar pool light

I have not, they look interesting and a great way to refit a light for someone who never had one or where one died.... They say 3 to 6 days to get them to the states :)

Very happy. Looks great!
Thank you for updating this. I have 2 Jandy LED lights that went out after only 4 years so I'm really hesitant to replace them if they're going to die so quickly (about $2k usd). I'm going to order these. The only thing i need to do is place them on the side of the pool I'd look out at so it may give some glare but I can deal with that.

Let me know how you go.

They come with a tube of sealant. No need to drain water. They cost 220 euro. They also have magnetic ones for liner pool.

Wow that price isn’t bad at all! Were you nervous at all attaching it to your plaster? We are resurfacing our pool next week and don’t know if our current pool light electrical works and do not want to rip apart concrete to fix it. These seem like a great alternative but I’m a little nervous attaching it to the brand new pebble finish!

I would've thought that during resurfacing it would be a great time to fix existing pool lights, either to replace the niche and/or pull through another light fixture. This solar light would be no substitute for a working electrical pool light, on either brightness or duration, but a nice alternative if you have no other choice.

I would say these solar lights are just as bright as electrical pool lights and they last for 7 hours each day.

I fixed them to the housing of my existing failed electrical light. It says in the instructions it's fine for plaster pools. Don't have any experience first hand though.

I have a vinyl pool without lights and with polymer walls, so lights with magnets won’t work for me. I’ve been looking for a solution, it doesn’t say the adhesive will work on a vinyl pool.

Has anyone tried the LedecSun magnetic version of these lights on Vinyl In-ground with steel walls?
I have vinyl inground with steel walls using 2 of these, on my second year and they work amazing. The magnet is strong and the light stays solidly in place with no issues ....even when my robot is scrubbing the waterline!

I agree, these to me seem just as bright as electrical pool lights and I've seen mine last until dawn some days.

Ok so this has caught my attention!!!! I have a 40x18 vinyl liner galvanized steel wall pool. The pool company sold me on only needing one light. It is not nearly enough light for our pool. I'm sure the platinum onyx liner doesn't help either but oh well. My question is... can these be turned "off" if night swimming and lighting is not desired?

No, unfortunately these cannot be turned OFF. They turn on automatically at dusk and turn off when the solar charge depletes. They charge again in the sun during the day and then the cycle repeats.

Same. Vinyl pool, no lights. Someone else was going to try these:

I just bought one today and I'm going to try the return jet hanger thing. If it works, I'll get a second for the deep end.

I was looking at those myself. I’m just not sure how well the hangers will work or how often they will need to be charged. Let me know how they work. I’m also looking at the floating solar power lights like this one, but I’m also not so sure about it either.

I admit, I am a little skeptical about the hangers. Some of the reviews say they float up and get in the way of the returns so we'll see. I have 2 inflatable solar powered things but they don't make much light, they are just for ambiance.
