Looking to get CYA back to SWG levels after SLAM (~30) so need a good quantity (& quality) of CA... anyone know of a relatively inexpensive place to purchase it?

I have been buying this (thank you whoever recommended it on here) : Cyanuric Acid Stabilizer & Conditioner Chemical for Swimming Pool Water - 25 lbs 600291951243 | eBay

I see there is a 40lb option.. but shipping $ wow! : (ProGuard Chlorine Pool Water Stabilizer (Cyanuric Acid) – 40 lb Pail $119.04 + $31.99 shipping)

Anything else?

P.S. I saw an older thread here, but most if not all links shows "currently unavailable"
I just finished SLAM so never want to go through this again...

Why do you need such a large amount? I have a slightly larger pool (fresh water) and a 7 lb. bag lasts me almost two years.
It's a mystery - maybe algae (I did just finish SLAM ) ... or I have a leak.. have added water too...
16lbs since February and I am ~ 30 - 40.. I also just started adding Trichlor (6?) because I am out of CA... I haven't tested since 6 days and there has been some rain... so I am probably borderline...
Buying 25lbs gets me to the end of season and some left.. I hope..

and then there is the pool renovation*** maybe 16 weeks from now.. (plaster/tile isn't great..) so pool re-fill (not sure where the pool company will leave me CYA wise.

*** depending on funds.. might have to wait a year or two..

Replying to my reply - just saw this : CYA won't rise
"There is the odd time we find some of the stabilizer products are a bust"

Maybe just maybe the RX Clear I have been buying isn't good.

The link I have (Cyanuric Acid Stabilizer & Conditioner Chemical for Swimming Pool Water - 25 lbs 600291951243 | eBay) to what I have been buying says "Our stabilizer contains 98% cyanuric acid hydrate." hmmm

It's a mystery...

I retest about a week after adding the CYA and am usually within +/- 5 ppm of the expected result. If you can't do that, you seemingly have an issue with your dosing calculations or the CYA itself as you suspect.

OK so the test may be accurate to +/- 10 ppm. I would expect a distribution of random readings to cluster around the midpoint and logarithmically drop to +/- 10 ppm. So more than 50% of the readings would be within the +/- 5 ppm mark, entirely consistent with my claim that my results are "usually within +/- 5 ppm".

Really?
