The pool filter motor was just replaced brand new. In service mode, pump motor starts then shuts off immediately.

We heard some popping sounds then started seeing this behavior

Replaced the circuiit breaker

Replaced the 9V battery.

The lights on control panel seem to be working like before

The lights on the house remote seem to be working normally.

I reset all the breakers numerous times

Is it the pool side controller relay?

Is it the fuse in the pool side controller?

Turn the breaker for the motor off and listen to what the relay does.
If you have a spa-side button, pull the connector from the board. It will be the brown (usually) one with 6 wires in it. They can cause problems. You can just leave it off if it solves the issue, or replace (not cheap).

I do not see a spa side connector with 6 wires. The only 6 wire connect I see is the one that goes to the pool motor.

I'm thinking it is the pool motor relay. It's the top left one. Are all 4 relays the same? If so, I would like to rewire pool motor relay to one of the unused aux relays but I don't want to blow it out.

I checked the aux relay and it is the same Omron part number. They are both G7L-2A-BUBJ-CB. I swapped out the pool motor relay with the Aux3/4 relay.

Same problem. Pool motor starts then shuts off immediately

Then I tested the input side resistance of all 4 relays. They all measured around 300 Ohms.

I test all the relays output lugs and they all measured about 1 Ohm in relay closed position.

I then manually pushed in the little button at the bottom of the relay switch and held it closed, bypassing the controller board.

Same problem. Pool motor starts then shuts off immediately.

I looked at the component side of the controller board and I could not find any blown out looking components.

Should I look at the circuit side?

I measured the transformer. The primary was <100 Ohms I forget. The secondary was 1 Ohm or so. I did not measure the voltage out of the secondary of the transformer but the lights on the Power Center seem to turn on and off and switch pool motor on. It just doesn't stay on.

I think your problem is with the motor and not with your Aqualink.

Turn off the pump CB and move the pump wires from the LOAD screws to the LINE screws the incoming hot wires are connected to. That removes the Aqualink.

Turn on your CB and see if your pump runs.

Don't forget to put the wires back on the LOAD side of the relay.

Six-wire connector next to the red 4-wire connector (both RJ 485).

I think you're right.

Switch load to line and turned on circuit breaker. Same problem: on then off, circuit breaker flipped.

Windings measured 1 Ohm. Capacitor measured 6 ohms.

Brand new motor. Sending back.
Well, I don't think it's the pool motor. Just got the new one and same problem. My second brand new motor. The original one all same problem. That's three pool motors. Motor turns on for second then the circuit breaker flips off.

Circuit breaker is 20A brand new replaced.

Tried switching Line to Load on the pool motor Aqualink relay. Turned circuit breaker on. Same problem. Pool motor runs for a second then 20A circuit breaker flips off.

I have Polaris blower. Turns on via Aqualink. It works. Does not turn on then turn off.

Landscape lights turn on stay on.

Haven't tried the pool heater

There's an old Chlorinator and sprinkler system on the circuit breaker panel that have not been used.

Is the top-left relay for your pump? What else is on that relay? There are two wires on the first and third terminal (those are being used as the "load" terminals). It may be the second load that is tripping the breaker.

Its wired backwards. Power (line) in should be on first and third terminal, load on the second and fourth, just for convention. It will work wired that way.

What kind of pump? Can you post pics of motor plate and back of the pump wiring?

I removed the second load on the top left relay. Same problem. Turns on then off immedately.
