Hello,
I'm noticing that after the pool was opened there is a slow drip coming from the drain plug of the filter. I wanted to check the o-ring. This will be my first time working on the filter. To remove the drain plug can you advise if the below steps are correct?

1. Move the mutliport valve to close
2. Release the air from the Filter
3. Unscrew the drain plug

I'm assuming once I replace the drain plug and verify the leak is gone, I need to backwash/rinse and add the DE again.

Thank-you!

I would backwash the filter before draining it. That way you are not dumping DE out of the drain onto your equipment pad..

Thank-you for the reply everyone. Much appreciated. I tried one last time to tighten the plug and it seemed to stop the leak. Hopefully that last effort to tighten it saved me from draining everything. Thank-you again.
