New pool owner - Added salt system - Need help balancing water - Foamy - Photos

Ok CYA is about 140. Need to get it at least half for the rest of the season.
I am allowed to drain to the street but it’s uphill probably 110 linear ft and vertically about 15-20’ .
Can I just use my backwash line and pump out? Is that enough with a 1hp to push that water that far and high?
If not what do you all recommend?
And yes I’ll turn the skimmer off :)

For that lift I would suggest a rental sump pump from Home Depot, etc. Your pump might do it, but the suction head will also be rising and could starve the pump.

What type of pool do you have? Plaster, vinyl, etc

OK, it's currently draining so we can dilute the CYA
My question is adding water...
I have well water and it's 0.3ppm iron and 12 grains of hardness. I have a water softener that is way larger than our usage needs. If I add water back in stopping for regenerations of the water softener, would this work? It appears covid has still impacted labor and i've called several places that are a month or more out for filling and i'm not near any local municpality that has say a firetruck that would do it.

I've done all the water testing on this before and it has very little metals to non-detect. Would this be viable?

Draining pool and noticed this staining showing up - i looked back at older photos and it wasn't there when we opened it.
Any ideas? Hardness seems low but unclear what would cause this. I can start a seperate thread if that's helpful.
