How to find the right temperature reading?

Hi everyone, I have a question on determining the best, more accurate temp reading for my pool. I have the iAqualink system and the temp reading is 64. My heater says 72 on its display. When I dip a waterproof cooking thermometer into the pool, it reads 70.3. My cleaning robot says something different (usually warmer than the iAqualink) as well. I would like to calibrate to the correct temp once I determine which reading I should "trust". Any idea which out of those items might be the most accurate reading to go with? Thanks!

Surface water is always warmer than water deeper down. Do you have a way to close the skimmer and let the device read water from only the main drain low in the pool for a few minutes? That might give you a better reading??

I'm just guessing here.. no experience with iAqualink.

Yeah, I was thinking that it will be much colder in the deepest part...maybe I go with the robot and call it a day? Since that is all over the place, it might serve as the best common ground. Just weird the heater shows so high.
