I just converted my pool to salt. Seems that in my impatience waiting for my test kit to arrive before adding salt, I may have put too much in....but I'm getting weird result with the drop test, so I'm not sure.
6000 gallon pool, added 160 lbs of salt. Instructions from the SWG calls for 175 lbs, assuming I had zero to start with.
Pool was a fresh fill back at the end of March, and I maybe have run 4-5 gallons of LC in it since then, and maybe a gallon of MA. Salt cell/system is telling me I'm around 4000-4100.
I received my salt test kit today, and tested. First test came back at 6400. I thought I messed something up since that was so high, so I tested again. 5800. Then tested again, 5400. Then tested a 4th time, 5000. And yes I was using a 10ml sample
Am I doing something wrong here? I rinsed the tube out every time and got all of the precipitate out. The results seem like they are all over the map, not sure what's going on...or what to believe.
Any help here would be appreciated...thanks!
