Getting a new vinyl liner installed

Hello all! We’re getting our vinyl liner replaced this year. We live in Massachusetts and usually start opening the pool The weekend prior to memorial day. The pool guy just said he’ll start his liner installations in June but did not give a definitive date.
We bought the house with the pool and I’ve gotten five years out of it but the liner is sagging in the corners and cannot be tucked anymore. It’s old and brittle
So my questions-
what can we expect with having a new liner installed?
How long does it typically take?
What are some possible issues that could arise?
Will the installation company work with a company to deliver water? We’re on a well so there’s no way we can fill our 30,000+ gallon pool with that so not sure if they work with a company to get the water out or if I would be expected to do that
I was hoping that he was going to come and install it earlier because if it’s not going be installed until the end of June would there really be a point in us opening and prepping the pool for use of it for a short time before we have to drain it
Any info about this process would be greatly appreciated!
Can’t wait to be floating in my pool!

A pool company usually knows the water delivery vendors and helps you coordinate water delivery with them.

With all the manpower and supply chain issues timelines depend on your local situation.

We signed contract for nee liner April of 2021. Due to excessive rain last year, as well as demand for new pool installations, they didn't get to us until yesterday. Despite our pool being 40 years old, the install went smoothly and took 1.5 days. Possible issues include condition of walls and bottom, the liner track and whether suction and return lines leak. We were fortunate, most of the liner track was in good condition, needing only 2 pieces replaced and some tightening of screws, all lines pressure tested good and the bottom/hopper and safety ledge were all intact, very little smoothing with the pool base material. A bit of aggravation with ground water intrusion requiring a mud sucker pump but not so much that they couldn't proceed. Water supply was on us - we're very rural without many choices so it's our well or the local fire pond. For various reasons, I chose our well. The pool company was from a larger city about 90 miles away - they know water sources out there but not out here.
