Opening Vinyl Pool: First Time

I got 2 straps off. So do I need to remove the springs from the cover before folding it up or leave them on?

Kraken is in. Winter cover is drying out. Kids are skimming the pool & scrubbing. Waiting for cupful of water to warm up.

The gizzmo in the skimmer. It just twists off?

Remove the Teflon and use lube. There are 3 pieces. It's kinda like a mushroom. The stem threads into the wall, the eyeball goes on and the mushroom cap screws on top over the eyeball. Keep the cap snug, but not tight, so it loosens easy to adjust the eyeballs.

Yup. 20 and under is iffy at best for accuracy. But. You want a good while to mix. Run low (skimming RPMs) and recheck tomorrow. If it's still low, add 10 at a time.

Remember it's a fast glance. No staring or the brain sees it no matter what. Just a blink of an eye and Yes or NO.

Establish dominance. Maintain eye contact. Put a bunch of googely eyes on the patio and use your heel to crunch them as you test.

I don't know how to get the water to not flow through the heater. The heater is not on and I'm not turning it on. Is this ok?

Okay. I put the pump lid on. Turned it on and I don't think there is any power to it. Help.
There are breakers at the pool panel and also in the main house panel. If either or both are off, no pump.

Ugh water spewed out of what I think is where the chlorinator goes. That stupid thing. How do I cap that?

I guess I can hook that up and let it run through like last year...

Ok hooked up the chlorinator. No spewing but needs more water. It's going to be a long night. I haven't even put chlorine in yet!

As in, the pool needs more water ? The equipment can be empty as long as the pump basket is 3/4 full or whatever height makes the water drain back to the pool.

So when I take the pump lid off, there is no water in the pipe... So the pipe that's labeled "pipe" is empty...
