Ok i know you dont run a salt cell without the pump running. i am trying find a way to run it with other settings or add it to other schedules (not sure of the terminology) without wiring it directly to input side of the pump relay (not sure if thats even reasonable). For example, i have a low speed and a high speed schedule for my pump set up in the easy touch. The way the chlorinator is set up, i cant make it run on these settings. It specifically has to be on the "pool" setting which triggers the filter pump relay. Is a re wire needed where i put the cell line in on the same side of the relay as my pump line in or is it not possible?

Pic of wiring. Filter pump relay on left. Only thing wired to load side of the relay is the pump.

Chris,

The problem is not the wiring it is you.. :poke:

You set the system up so that the Pool or Spa circuit is on for the total time you want the pump to run. Then at the same time you turn on your high or low circuit,

As an example with made up numbers.. You want to run your pump for 12 hours at different speeds. Pool at 1200, Low at 1500 and High at 2000 RPM.

Schedule Pool from 8 am until 8 pm. Schedule Low from 9 am until 10 am. Schedule High from 1 pm until 2 pm. Here is what will happen...

The pump starts at 8 am and runs at 1200 RPM until 9 am when the speed increase to 1500 until 10 am when the speed drops back to 1200 until 1 pm when the speed increases to 2000 until 2 pm when the speed drops back to 1200 until 8 pm when the pump stops.

Keep in mind that when the pump see two or more speed requests, it will always run the fastest one.

The Pool and Spa circuits should be the lowest speeds you ever want to run and then you add speeds by turning on Feature Circuits.

Please let me know if this does not make sense..

Thanks,

Jim R

That makes complete sense. I wish the manuals where that clear.
