18 month old pool
Has not worked correctly since we moved in new construction
The pump 1: power outage alarm
Pump 1: communication lost

Alert keeps appearing every time we try to heat the pool
The pool heater will then shut off approx at 80 degrees never getting to 88 requested on the ScreenLogic app.
No one can tell us what is wrong.
If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate the help.
Again pool newbie
16 x 48 pool
Salt generator
Sta rite max heater
Easy touch
I have photos of all equipment and the wiring of the breaker box
I hope this is enough info
Thank you!

Great. So the alarm only occurs when in Spa Mode? And your water temperature never reaches your Spa setting as shown on Screenlogic.

@Jimrahbe will be along soon. He will walk you through the troubleshooting steps.

Both of the Temps you show are indicating Last Temp. Which means the system is in neither Spa or Pool Mode.

I’m asking why am I getting this alarm power outage all the time?

AS,

I suspect that your EasyTouch is not even close to being wired correctly.

I assume you have an IntelliFlo pump... If so, it should get constant 240 volt AC power. It appears to me that your pump is only getting power when the Pump/Filter relay is closed, which is flat out wrong.

Here is a quick test.. Go out to the main panel and put the system into the Service mode.. I suspect that your pump will shut off and the display will be blank.. It should not shut off and the display should show RPM or something similar.

Also.. in the Service mode all the lights on your salt cell should go out.. I suspect they will not go out..

Run those two tests and tell us what happens.

Besides wiring issues, I also suspect that your programming is what is shutting off both the spa mode and the pool mode at the same time.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Here is a photo of the pad
- we have a StaRite Intelliflo pump

- I put the system in service mode
- The pump display went blank
- The Pentair intellichlor salt generator also went blank

Thoughts?

Thank you!

AS,

That proves two things...

One, the EasyTouch is not wired correctly to provide constant AC power to your pump. This is why you get the alerts...
Two, that it is wired correctly to control your SWCG cell..

You can fix the problem by moving a couple of wires around, but I need better pics of the Inside or your EasyTouch. I need to see where the wires from the Pump/Filter relay (top left) go. It appears they go to some wire nuts on the right side. I need to see where the wires from the pump come into the box and where they go.

If you can, show me, or tell me, what your schedule look like.. Something like this..

Thanks,

Jim R.
