Jandy valve handle

Are there any issues with taking the handle off a Jandy valve for the winter to be able to wrap insulation easier around the valve. See picture below.

No issue with removing it but please take note of what port is closed and mark it on top of the insulation you wrap with. This way, you are not guessing what is open or not. Also, put it in a safe place for use in the Spring.

I take it you're not winterizing the pool equipment for the winter?

I am not. Pool / spa combo and there isn’t a simple way to winterize just the pool
