We’re in the process of building a pool and it will be a TINY 8x12 pool/spa combo with wraparound benches.
My question is on pool depth. I am 5’4” and SO is 5’8”. He is heck bent on the “deep end” being 4.5’ deep. This would be a slope of 3.5’x4’x4.5’. For a 12 ft pool w wraparound bench, this seems too drastic and unnecessary, especially considering traditional spas are 3.5’ deep. Should I try to convince him to do a 3.5’x4’? Or would it be okay to maybe do 3.5x4.5 with a steep drop?
