Jandy JXI 260 heater with Powerflo. I am getting a 'Check Flow' error. I am reading alot of cases that have been resolved with a cleaning of a cartridge filter. I have a DE filter and have recently cleaned my unit.
Do you think that increasing the motor speed will increase the flow and clear the error, or is it something else that generates this error code?
I was thinking of cleaning the DE filter agian, and this time, trying to run the heater with prior to putting in the DE, to see if the flow clears the error when the filter is clear.
Suggestions?

Never run your DE filter longer then 5 to 10 minutes without DE. You can trap dirt in the grids which can be impossible to clean out. You should only run your DE filter without DE long enough to recharge the DE.

Do you have an MPV on your filter with a RECIRCULATE setting?

What VS pump do you have and what RPM are you running it at?

Thanks for the advice on running the DE filter without DE.

This is the DE Filter unit itself.

I am not sure what MPV stands for, but this is the Filter pump in Pics.

The Pump is set at
SPA 2950
SPA Heat 2550

I'll put my parts and pool info in the profile asap.
Thanks for your help. Former North Jersey guy here.

Post larger pics of your entire equipment pad.

While I'm at it, the PM from the builder came by and tried to help, but wasn't able to do anything. but he toyed with these 2 auto valves and when he left, the pool / spa was out of synch.
Best position to have these in when system is off?

It looks like the only suction side open is the spa main drain. Is that what you want? Wondering if the suction from the main drain only is slowing your GPM?

--- added - most pumps don't like a 90 right in front of the suction side either, doubt it would impact flow that much by itself though.

Confirm your system was in SPA mode when you took those pics.

How old is your pool?

It would have been a lot better if an MPV valve would have been used on your DE filter instead of that slide valve.

Folks have had problems with the Versoflo feature on the Jandy heaters. If your PB can't figure out the problem you should put a warranty claim in on the heater.

It’s 6-8 weeks out to get the tech to come out for the warranty claim. The pool is a year old so it should get fixed but the wait is too long. The freeze and so many pools being built has jacked up the service crews apparently.

If all of your equipment is Jandy and the pool is only a year old, you should still have another 2 years on warranty from the manufacturer. Was the VersaFlo unit installed at the factory or did it get installed afterwards? Also, as long as the repair call is placed before the end of the warranty, it should be honored regardless of how long it takes the tech to get out to you.

Sometimes on a new install, the VersaFlo can hang up in a closed position. In order to fix, the VersaFlo gets removed and then re installed. I have had it happen once on a unit like this. It's been fine ever since.

The versaflow was part of the original pool build so I assume the contractor didn’t add it aftermarket. I’m not worried about the cost / warranty, more about the time. I’m going to contact Jandy. Maybe they will send a tech before the pool builder gets a service guy out here.
