Issue with one skimmer

Hello, TFP friends!

One of our skimmers was making a gurgling noise so I opened the lid and saw that the water level inside was very low. I checked the other skimmer, which was perfectly normal. Any idea why one would be low enough to create a waterfall noise and the other would be normal?

Your pics have not come through but it is possible that they’re just not the same level (water always finds level).
You may just need to be extra vigilant of the water level to keep that one from sucking air.
If this has never happened before then you may have another issue. Do u have a wet/mushy spot in your yard anywhere?
Are u able to isolate (turn off) that skimmer? Is the weir door functioning properly?
 
Check your weir door at the mouth of the skimmer and make sure it floats freely.
