Help !!! We have a best way 18ft steel pro and the frame is level all around .. however we filled the pool and the water is higher on one end … but the frame is all still even
Hey Kathy and Welcome !!! 18 foot wide of water is the best level that money can buy. The water isn’t wrong. Your level could be no good, or the twisted 2x4 (*cough* I’m looking at YOU Home Depot!!! *cough) you used as a guide could be fooling your level.
Hi, welcome to TFP! Did you build up any low spots instead of digging down to firm ground? A gallon of water weighs 8.34 pounds, and this pool holds about 4000 gallons of water. The pool could have settled once full.
As was said earlier - the frame segments might all be level(ish) with their neighbors, but the ground underneath the liner itself is what really matters to the water. Unless you perfectly and flawlessly leveled the entire area under the pool - and in relation to the posts - some deviation is very likely over that area. We installed our 18'x52" pool using a laser transit, plate compacted a sand base after excavating the ground to level and it still was off an inch or so in the end. Ours is not in any danger of collapse, so I called 'er good and tried to suppress my OCD.
