This is our second year of new pool. Our pool guy opened and we notice the pool discoloration. We had him
Maintain chemicals all winter, and it was fine when he closed it. He suggested pouring chlorine granules and let is sit for a few hours then scrub. Didn’t work.
could it be molting? Primarily on bottom of pool but noticed on sides as well. They are acid washing under warranty. Could this be molting? Very frustrated! Thanks!

The pictures looks like this issue.

Unless the pool has dirt stains on the bottom, these two articles may describe what has happened to your pool.

Thanks! That’s good info and sounds like perhaps my case. So hard to convey by pic. In person is clearer. This is the deep end. All on the bottom is dark.
