So we're putting in a new hot tub and pouring a concrete slab for it. We're pouring a 4" slab for the tub and I'm having issues finding 2"x4" or 2"x6" boards that are perfectly straight. So how level is level enough for the hot tub?
Just use 1x6 or 1x5 trim boards. 4" is minimum for a full size tub. As long as the edge is straight you can manipulate the length bows in or out with rebar stakes. Use a long level or string to true the edges up and if square use corner to corner mat hing numbers to true it up. Pithagorium theorem makes perfect 90s use 3,4,5 method
Thanks @jimmythegreek abd @RDspaguy. I think that'll I'll rip some plywood and attach it to the 2" x 4" so that it's perfectly straight and flat. It's going to be 4-5.5" thick.
I poured my pad and it was pretty flat but not super level. I used some gravel on top of the concrete to get it perfectly flat and perfectly level. If I pick it up or move it, I will double check to make sure the gravel is still flat and level before putting it down again.
