What does your pool paradise look like?

Late fall pool build last year; only got to swim in it one time, though we did use the spa quite a bit over the winter! Just finished furniture and patio, thinking I may do hue outdoor lighting next.

Looks good hue works well. My whole home is zwave but my daughter wanted color change bulbs in her room. I tried a different chart brand. Junk. Bought 7 hue bulbs for the room. Perfect. Controlled over an apple pod and the hue app. All work seamlessly. The lab mixes for light patterns are pretty cool. I might add some to my pool house this summer even though I already have zwave switches out there.

Did spring cleaning today. Just a few more degrees until the heat pump gets started up and in we go!
Nice pool. I was wondering if the grass at the end of the pool is artificial or real? I'd like to put down some artificial but I have been talked out of it due to it not lasting very long. Mine would be in a a low to zero traffic area and will be laid down around some trees and the pool. Any advice you can give would be appreciated. Thanks.

It’s Synlawn. Had it 3 years and it looks as good as the day it was put down. I have no concerns about longevity, it should last a long time. This was professionally installed and pretty high quality product, I think you need to do it right, or it will start looking bad after a bit.
We are pretty happy with it, I would never be able to keep real grass looking that good, and it’s very clean. We were going for a zero dirt yard.
Just keep in mind it gets really hot. Our summers here are 100+ degrees and the grass will get well above that, probably like 130. So I wouldn’t recommend it if you have a dog, I’ve also heard it’s prone to odors from dog pee. That said, the kids like to lay around on it when the weather is cooler, more so than if it was real grass because it won’t get you wet or dirty.

Thank you very much. I appreciate the info. I’ll look into it more and see if I can find someone that has some experience in installing it here.

Do you have the cooling type of infill I’ve seen discussed here?

I don't recall that I do, probably not. I just looked that up online -- I'm pretty skeptical of some of the claims, because ultimately hot sunlight on dark plastic (or whatever it's made out of) is going to get pretty hot. Real grass stays cool because it's full of water. But if it works, it would probably be worthwhile if you plan to be on the grass a lot in the summer.

I really like your design. Your spa looks a lot like mine! I'm an engineer, so straight lines!

Appreciate it; Engineer here as well! Wanted a modern look and feel and went through a number of draft designs before settling on this one. Back yard isn’t very large so wanted to make efficient use of the space; think we managed to get a good sized pool with a bit of everything!

Here is ours, soon to be handed off to the new home owners 😢😢😢

We absolutely love the pond less waterfall behind the pool, the sound is so much better then the expensive Laminars we never use.

It's gorgeous! Like a beautiful oasis. I'm sorry you guys are saying goodbye. Can you come decorate our patio? I have no style.

Thank you so much, we love it.

It took me 3-4 years to get it all done. I actually designed it on graph paper, my PB was really impressed with my design. My landscaper suggested the pond less waterfall, it was an amazing idea.
