Planning on hard piping my intex pool with 2" pvc and want to use the larger connection on the bottom of the skimmer for better water flow.
It is larger than 2" PVC, obviously proprietary. Does anyone have a link to the union I need to go from their connect to 2" PVC?

The Parts tab at:

Shows a 1-1/2 In Smooth Adapter

This page says it comes with 2 hose adapters 1-1/4 to 1-1/2,..

I don't think they would use a proprietary connect there. Their skimmers need to be installable by plumbers with standard equipment.

Here is a picture of the 2" threaded coupling on top of the skimmer. As you can see the threads on the bottom of the skimmer are quite a bit larger than the ID of the 2" coupler.
I tried calling Hayward and wait time is crazy and they will not call me back.

Ah, I know it well. Somewhere in my thread about my new pool there is a link to the fitting that will likely work for you. But, it comes with a 1.5” insert, so you’d be reducing down to 1.5 anyway. I would simply use the inside threads on the bottom of skimmer where the hose barb screws in (the smooth bit you refer to) and pick up a threaded PVC connector. That’s what I intended to do before I discovered that installers glued the hose barb in. Yep, I’m still bitter.

That outside threaded bit is proprietary, but the inside threaded bit is standard - to be sure you have a good fit, take it with you!

Here is the fitting held beside 2" pipe, inside a 2" fitting, and 1.5" pipe inside the fitting.

The fitting has the specific part number (or a part of it at least) as "SP 1500-JS" and the nut is "SP 1500-G-1". They came in the link I posted above.
