Our Pool Builder said they were giving us a free upgrade from Quartz Plaster to Wet Edge Primera Stone. Anyone have any experience with the Primera Stone?

That's a really nice upgrade. There's someone on here with it and always says great things about it.
I have Primera Stone Saphire Treasure. He’s upgrading u for FREE from quartz? Call him RIGHT NOW and say u want it. That’s like a $12k upgrade! Goes on as pebble with glass beads and shells and sanded down to be as smooth as plaster. It’s really awesome plus you can polish it twice down the line to sparkle it back up! No brainer here. Plus if you are getting a spa it’s even better. Nothing like sitting in “Pebble” in a spa. With PS you don’t have that problem!!

Did he screw something up? That’s a huge upgrade. For me it was $11,000 and i didn’t get the highest tier Primera Stone. If I remember right the finishes with glass cost more. Make sure the installer the PB is using is certified with wet edge.
No screw up....as of yet. They had added in engineering cost because we thought the pool would be where our seawall tie backs were. If they had to take them out then the seawall would have to be tied to the pool. But we got lucky and the tanning ledge went over the anchors for the tie backs. The upgrade to quartz was $4000. and to upgrade to pebble was $6500. So we got a $2000. free upgrade. He is using a certified installer. The builder we used is one of the top rated builders in our area. The total price was higher than others but they had the best references. The owner of the company was out today checking on the work completed. The plumbing has been installed, waiting on gunite. He had them change a couple of light locations so we wouldn't have any dark spots. So far we have been very happy with them.

@NCMike, after further conversation with the PB, we are getting a 2nd tier pebble- He was switching us to another quartz that looks like pebble and we couldn't find any reviews on that material. So we now have switched to the 2nd tier pebble and its 2000 dollars to us. we need to choose a color. Do you know which Primera you got and do you have a photo. I trust photos here much more than google or primera site.
Bvacchiano-- that sapphire treasure is GORGEOUS. It is the top tier and we are not going there! Sure s beautiful though!

We got Blue Ocean/Midnight Breeze. Last summer Wet Edge change a few colors/names of their products. Depending on your installer they still may have some of the old stock on hand under the old name. I will try to get some pictures tomorrow while the sun is out and post them.
