Low PSI after manifold failure and replacement

I suspected something was wrong with my filtration and found my manifold (Jandy 580 cartridge) was cracked.

The old one was like this

and replaced WIth this:

I have 2 returns and 2 skimmers running and flow is normal but the pressure is sub 5 PSI which isn't right. GIven its flowing normal, do you think the manifold is getting bypassed or something? Also possible the gauge is just bad.

Also I wasnt sure what to do with the breather tube. It was just in there on the old one routed through the cap of the return. Does that interact with pressure?

Rob,

Filter pressure has a lot to do with the type of pump and pump speed.. Tell us more about what you have.

Did you also just replace the cartridges??

I was cold and wet in the dark and didn’t have the return o ring seated. I think I resolved it. It’s leaking a little from the main o ring even with silicone but I’ve had that work itself out on its own in the past.
