Hi there, i found a free 18foot intex ultra metal framed round pool last year, whilst my daughter was at grandmas, i researched how to level my backyard, ordered gravel and sand and built a retaining wall and worked myself silly instead of recovering after surgery.. as we had no aircon and i was determined to give my lil girl the pool she and i dreamt of and an excuse to invite kids from her new school over to enjoy and solidify some friendships.

I finished a day before she got back, we had a ball, she made a best friend and i learnt that pool water is tricky and a cover isnt optional! our pool season ended when the bush fires sent copper coloured dirt into all of melbournes pools and there was a state wide sellout of floc!

So this year I decided we would try a new set up to be able to use our pool at night and hopefully keep the water warmer and escape the buglife...so i am currently leveling :( the side of our house and building a bestway 16 foot metal frame rectangle pool that is 48? inches or 1.22 m high to be enclosed in a 20foot bell shaped polycarbonate green house. It has 32mm hoses, 2500g cartridge filter with pump, blue solar bubble cover and ive ordered a solar floating ionizer and trying to decide how to best heat it and if i should go saltwater.
And ive got to be done by the end of the month! :)

haha im getting there. greenhouse is built and on temp framing. My tuscan toppings arrived yesterday :) Its bloomin rained forever (nearly a week strait) so My poor enclosure back wall fell down, as the wind moved it so much the temp framing moved( yeah i know how backward this is... but i only had the help of my tradie friend on a day where Covid had closed all shops,so i couldnt do any hardscaping/ground work, and the man runs his own business, u gotta take whatever time he can offer :)

so tomorrow my other friend and I... if he turns up this time! lol and I will start building a retaining wall zzz such a bore, but better than risking the whole thing sliding into the fence and flooding the neighbours i guess..so Im thinking as if its not symmetrical i may lose the plot.. that i am going to build like a box basically from sleepers and buried galvanised thingos and concrete them in. then dig out the left higher part of the ground, level it, compact, lay weeding mat pin it, put tuscan topings on to make the base strong enough to not sink and compact it... but i need to see that before deciding which of the 3 ideas im obsessing over, i go with ,to plan what’s next! ( yeah i know...but if i waited until i was able to decide on exactly every detail first... id never make it off my Rear...)

The greenhouse enclosure has fully done my head. Im not easily beaten by anything in kit form.. But Dang its soooo hard to make it when just holding the polycarbonate sheet myself makes me catch the wind and go flying every few mins! Ive had to walk away a couple of times... or it may have eneded up in more pieces than it came in!
