Just installed a new pump and Pentair multiport. The two ports on the multiport (for pump and return) are leaking. I only threaded them in. Was I supposed to actually glue the threads into the multiport?
Looks like I’m going to have to do some more hacking away.
Also I bought a new o ring for the quad de 60 but it’s still leaking, should I tighten it on even more than it is or remove it and start over.

NO!! never glue threaded components. You need teflon tape. And remember: too tight is broke, don't over-tighten.

While you are in there, add unions for each connection to the MPV (multiport valve) so that next time you need to remove the MPV, you don't have to cut piping. You will have to remove the MPV at some point in the future, weather to clean out grids on the filter or replace a spider gasket, fix a leaky connection , etc. You will thank yourself later.
