no floc or clarifiers added that I’m aware of. Glad to hear spider gasket is Likely not problem.I think most people pull the grids out completely for cleaning. Just give the best angle and affords the best visibility to inspect. That's important because a tear can be quite small and cause a mess in the pool. Also keep in mind that there could be a break or bad connection at the manifold. We have some good DE tutorial threads, but I can't link them right now because we are having some server/link issues. If I can get to it later I'll share it. I don't think the spider gasket would have much to do with junk coming backwards into the pool. Out to WASTE sure. As for that sticky stuff, pollen maybe? Not sure. Algae wont be sticky. Not sure if it has anything to do with residual junk from winter closing? Hopefully no floc or clarifies was added to the water. That's the only thing I can think of that is gummy-like.
Hi everybody! We had TONS of pollen on Long Island these past weeks. Yes it’s on car and windows and everywhere! It’s on the downturn so hopefully that will clear up.Pretty sure it is pollen. I'm dealing with the same thing, a slightly cloudy water, high pump pressure and low flow. Lots of light light brown / yellowish fine grime in my robot basket. Broke down my Quad 60 DE filter and completely clean it. It was full of the same brown/yellow grime. After running with a clean filter for around a day the cloudiness is almost gone and the filter pressure and water flow is back to normal. I did bump up my chlorine a bit
Help @Texas Splash! Day 2 of slam and pool is turning clear but green! Those a re good SLAM numbers.Stick with it, and as you said, at some, point you may have to go back into the filter for a second look. See if the tech missed something at opening.
