Please Help... Is this algae?

Hello All,
New here, I need help I’ve already started the slam process and have been at it since last Sunday. When I brush the pool this white stuff floats to the top and on one side it looks white and the other side it’s bright green. I’ve taken pictures.

Looks like algae to me.

Looks like something with algae growing on it. Piece of plastic, plaster flake, leaf, something.

looks like spinach or kale... Has anybody been eating BLT's in your pool? I am only half joking

Lol no one has been eating in the pool... and it does look like it is on plaster or something. I have above ground pool 24x52 been slamming since last Sunday. FC -24/CYA-50... did not cover pool last year... my fault. Keep brushing and this stuff keeps floating up.
