Clogged return jet? - Puzzling results....

Hi - on my spa, I am having an issue with two of the jets. The three on the left all work very well. The 4th from the left has almost no flow, and the 5th has about half the flow of the three on the left.

Any help on how I might go about diagnosing the problem or fixing it is much appreciated.

There was a thread last year with a similar issue (i looked but couldn’t find it). It ended up being the way it was plumbed from the beginning. Instead of using ‘T’s there were branches that were more like ‘F’s and one outlet flowed easier than the other. If you cover 2 or 3 of the good ones and the others increase a bunch, It could very well just be inefficient plumbing.

Ok, I’ll try that next time I use it and report back results.

See attached pic. There is only one line to the spa and it is fully open. (The off side of that manual valve goes to aerators).

Post a pic or 2 of the actual jet and if you can the inside. RDspaguy knows better than I but I think theres a way to throttle them down behind the eyeball to get some more flow to the other jets

Wouldnt be the first time I've seen poor plumbing and people just living with it

Here a brain stumper....the jet that i thought had very low flow (fourth from left) has a some suction as opposed to pressure. When I cover the middle jet with my hand, the suction diminishes or disappears in the 4th jet. When I cover two other jets, the fourth jets has a small amount of pressure flow. Huh??

You need to remove the jet nozzle that is deep within the spa wall. A long extension socket wrench, I believe 9/16", can be used to unscrew the nozzle. If you empty the spa, you will be able to see the nozzle better.

Sorry, didn't get a notification of a reply on this thread. Didn't mean to leave you hanging.
It is hard to see in the pic (I am on my phone) but I believe each of those jets will adjust by turning the face. They can stick pretty good, but should be individually adjustable. Can you post a pic of the "eyeball" you removed, and a close up of the jet with eyeball removed and water level below the jet? It would help me identify which you have, so I can tell you how to work it. Does your spa have air control knobs for the air injection at the jets?

@RDspaguy @mas985 I lowered the level and removed the eyeball. See attached. I need to get an extension for my socket, but once I loosen the nut, how do I go about removing the nozzle from the pipe? Thanks for the help!

The nozzle should remain in the socket wrench. Just keep turning to make sure it is loose before pulling it out. However, if you can't remove one, normally when you turn on the water to flush the lines, the nozzles will come out at that time.
