Has anybody actually done this?

If I went to a 4th of July pool party, and their water was blood-red? Honey-Bunches of NOPE!!!!

I would have some fun with it. Tell your friends you have that special chemical that turns the water blue when urine is detected. Jump in the pool with a small bottle in your shorts and let'r rip.

I've seen photos of parties with the water red.
Not something I would ever consider.

If I went to someone's house and they had done this, I would question what the water looked like BEFORE the dye. As in, maybe they were using this to cover up that their water was funky. But I have trust issues- YMMV.

Gender Reveal

Has anyone used a swimming pool dye for a gender reveal party? Does the dye affect the water chemistry or stain the plaster? Just looking for some more info.
