I was getting the “no power” error to a Hayward replacement cell that’s less than a year old so I bought a new one today and then got the crazy high amps reading followed by the dreaded “High salt / high amps” error. First time on this site as this is the first issue I’ve had with my pool system (relatively speaking LOL) and flipped down the motherboard and sure enough, a corroded looking solder point right where everyone pointed out! I dropped some more solder on there and VIOLA!!!! Amps WAY down and voltage to about 6.5V and Fixed!!!! At least for now. (Fingers crossed!) Will replace the 20amp fuse with a 15amp fuse as another member suggested to hopefully prolong the fix! Thanks to all that take the time to post here with great detail and feedback / results! Saved me a ton of money I’m sure by finding this fix! I’ll be making a donation for sure! Thanks everyone!

I also wanted to mention that I suppose there is a possibility that the other salt cell I just replaced today that’s less than a year old is indeed NOT dead after all and will try swapping out the. New one I bought, test it just to make sure and post the results from that to see if the fix might have actually taken care of that issue as well!
