Pool mosaics

My pool is under construction and I am thinking about adding some mosaics to accent the bottom of my pool. I'm not sure how big the mosaics should be to be visible enough in my pool. I would like to have one in my shallow end which is 3.5 feet and one in my deep end which is 7 ft. My plan is to either have a turtle or a starfish or something like that. Any thoughts?

I'm not a huge fan of mosaics, I worry they'll look outdated or something down the road? But one poster here recently used Snoopy in her pool and it was fabulous!! Lemme see if I can find it.. for an idea of where it was located in the pool for view....
See if she mentions how large Snoopy is and how she placed him--> Chapel Hill NC Build of our own design

If I see any other good reviews on how to do it, I'll add them here.

awwright... this is one for me--> Cosmic Bliss Mandala Porcelain Pool Mosaic by Custom Mosaics, Inc. | MND-CBM-11 - Blue Water Pool Mosaics

after seeing the pretty things this company sells, I realize the thing I don't love about mosaics is that some seem out of place to me. Certain animals I equate with Florida, or the gulf coast. They seem out of place in... Arizona or something.
You can't go wrong with something classy and timeless (like Snoopy, lol) I say.
I think I need a new pool so I can get one of these mosaics now........

Someone else recently is a Disney lover and snuck small black mickey's in their tile line occasionally. It was cutesy but not overdone or saccharine like. It was well done.
