Not feeling the pool love today.

Hello,

This tree in our neighbor’s yard is like it has snowed in our yard and pool. I have spent many hours this past week just keeping up with it, and as you can see I still have a lot to do. Now my heater “Lo”light is on, heater is on standby. I’ve cleaned skimmers, which after today’s rain were packed full (the one by the pool, not the pump was that full).

I just don’t know what else to do? My husband doesn’t want a cover, so I guess all I can do is try to keep up with it.

Any suggestions would be great!

also, we have had almost daily visitors from Donald and Daisy - not sure I’m liking that either.

thanks for letting me vent.

Wow, that is seriously annoying. Not sure what else you can do, besides a cover.

Oh how I sympathize!

Any chance you could ask them if you could prune back any other branches that hang over your yard?

Kinda weird suggestion but... any way to string up a huge piece of netting attached to the fence at the bottom and with wide arms of something that can act as a wide pitchers style net? So that the debris is caught in the net...and you can bounce it up and over into their yard occasionally. I doubt they'd notice.

I like the net idea. Their trees are actually back a bit from fence? Here is another picture. A lot of the flowers came off today in the rain. We didn’t live here this time last year, and this is our first pool so never expected anything like this.

We did have estimate for cover, and they said would have to either take out diving board, or redo concrete at shallow end? Not sure how automatic cover would work. Some places said we didn’t have enough concrete.

Just awful I feel for you. I would seriously consider batting cage or backstop netting to keep that mess under control.

As for the fowl friends barging in in-announced I would not like that either. I could not hurt`em but maybe catch`em and haul`em to another county.

Thanks! I am telling my husband all the great ideas. I just wish we would have known how bad this tree was before.

i don’t want to hurt the ducks either, not sure what to do about them. I just “shoo”them away and they fly off.

i must say our backyard smells wonderful, at least something positive.
