Convince me a robot is better...

(1:10) "Not gettin it done!" lol :D

So, are you going to run your pump at that baseline all day, or maybe a couple hours?

My skimming baseline is about 160 watts - to low to really run any cleaner very well, but the G3 can run on 250-300 and not get stuck, but its real shy about getting to the shallow end.

My MO with Suction side cleaners is that in the summer I throw them in once or twice a week while the solar tap is on rather than leave them in for wear and longevity purposes. I run solar at 1000 watts so there is enough power to move it around as well as open the flow keeper a bit and have some skimming action.

In the winter when Im not using solar Ill run it at the baseline for half a day or so once or twice a week - then take it out.

Heres a pict on the left of what I get out of the T5 in the first half an hour of so.
It makes it all the way to the shallow end multiple times right away pretty much I don't even have to sweep the shallow end down like I did with the G3.

I takes the MX8 longer to get to the front for me but it definitely gets there, it's narrower and it produces a distinctly different type of pattern a hard line vs a curved slice.

The MX8 also tends to swirl up and move debris around a bit more, a price to pay for the dual scrubbers that work very well.

I could leave a g3 in all day and never have it once make it to the shallow end. The heavier G5 was little better, but the round disk design tips to either side easily while on a straight path circling the unit left or right 95% of the time - whereas the T5's different bottom design takes a set and follows the line with very little diversion.

This black powder on the bottom is my nemesis, even running a 23-24x7 runs.
Ill get to that stage once a week in calm weather, and in windy conditions the ash helicopters rain down in 5 gallon bucket amounts
