All of that looks fine.

When the actuators are toggled by the switch on the back, do they move?

The spa speed is the problem. With multiple circuits on the same pump, the circuit with the highest speed wins and I think you are having a conflict between the pool and spa circuits.

Change the SPA speed to something higher than 1300 and make sure the water feature and spillway aren't on.

Not to argue with the master of all things Pentair, but SPA mode and POOL mode are separate features. When you put the system into SPA mode, the pool circuit is ignored (as would be its speed)...no?

Going back to the plaster, shouldn't the acid advice be ignored? If it's a traditional startup then just keep the TA and pH in control and brush..a lot.

The actuators work with the manual switch. I used these to initially position the valves to start filtering the spa. I changed the speeds and still nothing (see below). Irony is I can control spa lights, patio lights, but can't get the actual pump to turn on. Has to be something silly. I primed the pump and confirmed I can run it using the VS control directly.

Okay, I think I got it working...I went into Diagnostics on the panel and did a Reset System. All the while cursing my electrician who has still not yet installed the pad light. Pump came on. Now, I am confused about the actuators. The actuators were in the correct position, so nothing happened as I expected. Since the pool is filling, I don't want to turn on pool filtering or move the valves. How does the controller know what actuator settings to use for spa vs. pool?

It doesn't know the positions, it only knows to send the power to the opposite leg of the circuit. With the system in POOL mode you manually position the valves to pool suction and pool return. When you trigger the spa circuit, the valves rotate to the opposite position but the ET really had no idea where the valves are positioned and doesn't really care... Very antiquated technology

Thanks. No kidding on being behind the technology curve. The electrician threw away my boxes and I didn't get the serial numbers off the Globrite's for registering and I thought, no problem I'll fire up ScreenLogic and surely it can tell me the serial numbers of all equipment in the system...Hah. While I was contemplating pulling them out of the wall to get the serial #'s, the plaster crew made an appearance.

That's what I was thinking and I remember being told by one of my contractors that uses this plaster company that either way is okay. It seems an acid start up results in a more uniform finish, but I've read that it likely does this at the expense of longevity. I have another guy I can call tomorrow. Really strange, I never could find a super today from the plaster company and had to track down the super via another contact of mine to ask about the start up. Email I got last week from the scheduler was: "WHO IS THIS?" even though they had already cleaned the pool the week before. I had to laugh. I never received an updated bid going from mini pebble to quartz and boom they show up today...not complaining, it's done. KoolCote guy has been outstanding to work with, showed up when he promised, bid the same day and already have a scheduled install date.

Just buy me a light and we can share the tools..... [emoji3]

What brand do you have?

When I buy my lights, I might have extra.
LOL. Pentair Globrite. I'm really kicking myself that I had these sitting in my house for 5 months with the serial # right on the box and never thought to jot it down. The spa was full so I turned the spa light on last night and it looked awesome. I installed some Volt hardscape lights (thin strips that mount under travertine) that look amazing. I'll take some photos. Definitely think about outdoor lighting and the ambiance. I like Volt as they use 2700K LED bulbs, so you get a nice warm light. Looks like you are making good progress with your new framer.

My plumbing is setup with a Pentair valve with the common port on the side and I need help in setting up the actuator to support this. The below image is from an Intermatic actuator. I need to accomplish the same, but have Pentair valve and Pentair actuator (CVA-24T). Is it a similar procedure? Can I rotate the actuator like the Intermatic?
