Is there a way to disable Jandy VersaFlo?

Never mind… I found the enable/disable in service menu. Problem is you cannot disable it if there’s an issue I suppose. I can hear the solenoid trying to move but it must be jammed. I’ll take it apart and lubricate it or something.

Is there a way to disable Jandy VersaFlo?

I keep running into “Check VersaFlo” errors. I had a tech come out and he said the unit was clean but the valve/plunger was stuck. After resetting that, the heater ran for an hour and then back to the same error. I’m thinking just disable the VersaFlo entirely and let the water pass through the...

    Muriatic Acid Needs

I didn’t add anything, that’s the concern, not even fill water. I thought I edited that signature years ago

    Muriatic Acid Needs

Circling back on this .. I was able to slowly drop the Alkalinity to 60 and get the PH in range. That lasted about two weeks but now I’m seeing Alkalinity at 80 and PH at 8.0 again. It’s like a never ending battle and throwing acid in there every few days. Is a SWG really that effective at...

    Muriatic Acid Needs

Thank you! I’m a little confused. Do you mean lower Ph to 7.6, allow it to rise to 8.0 max, then continue the downward adjustment (by .4 each time) until it reaches 7.6, rinse and repeat until TA is 60-80? Basically operate in the Ph 7.6-8.0 range with .4 adjustments each time until TA hits 60-80?

    Muriatic Acid Needs

I’m running into a similar problem as the following: Muriatic Acid Question The pool is chugging muriatic acid weekly and I’ve yet to test and find the Ph lower than 8.2 which is the top of my scale. I’ve read a SWG exhibits this problem but never thought it could raise Ph so much so fast. TA...

    Polaris Quattro gets stuck

Replacing the gearbox did the trick. It doesn’t climb the walls every time but at least it does it now. Enough power that it’s not getting stuck in one place.

    Polaris Quattro gets stuck

Yeah I think she’s toast. I pulled it apart and found that if there’s more pressure on the one section of the gearbox then the teeth stay engaged. So I added about 2mm of plastic to that section and closed it up. When I turn the gears by hand the fix works perfectly but in operation she won’t...

No flow restrictor in place unfortunately.

    Polaris Quattro gets stuck

My Quattro worked well for years in a large plaster pool. Now in my smaller Pebble pool it gets stuck at the wall in a 45 degree angle. I tore it down and replaced the wheel bearings, checked the gearbox, etc. Strange thing about the wheels/gears, one side is definitely the power side with a...

In-Ground Pool Construction St. Louis MO

Thank you for the insight. We have an inground now but about to relocate to STL and considering buying property with a pool or just building one later. But if it’s a significant price tag than we’ll lean towards the former.

In-Ground Pool Construction St. Louis MO

No offense meant but was the previous comment about this costing $100,000 accurate? Because that seems like twice the price to me. Is STL super expensive?
